The Mount Carmel Veterinary staff generously allowed me to shadow at their hospital these past couple months and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! They are very willing to take on students and do a great job of making the shadowing experience active by asking questions, which forces you to think critically about what you’re observing. They are super understanding and flexible with the times of availability and their communication with me throughout the experience was excellent. This was reflected in the client interactions I observed as well. They are thorough in their discussions with clients, ensuring they understand the situation, diagnosis, and every option available to them to treat their pet. This high level of care in interactions with clients carried over to patients as well, where the comfort of the patient was prioritized to ensure that the visit was the least stressful it could be. The staff is incredibly experienced, their technical skills, medical knowledge, and intuition toward animals was truly impressive. If you take your pet to Mount Carmel Veterinary Hospital, know that they are in competent, safe, and caring hands!

Our cat needed her vaccines and a check up as well as an exam for vomiting. When a cat is over 14 years old even a simple upset stomach can be serious. They were very professional and kind.

I have been bringing my cat to Mount Carmel since the Dr. Dunn and Dr. Farrell days. I remember them telling me they were going to retire and a new vet was going to take over. I was a little nervous at first but when I met Dr. Stewart she was kind, knowledgable and her love for animals was apparent. I have had nothing but good experiences at this veterinary hospital and truthfully will never understand all of the negativity they get. The staff has always been pleasant, Dr. Stewart is always communicative and transparent. She goes above and beyond for my cats, one of whom has been going there for almost 15 years now. She answers each and every one of my questions thoroughly, with honesty and sincerity, even after hours. Dr. Stewart and her staff rescue and work with the neediest, abused and neglected animals. They volunteer alongside various animal rescues and donate their time and services, all helping suffering animals. The staff have probably seen the most horrendous things, and I’m thinking maybe that’s why they don’t tolerate the stupidity and ignorance of certain pet owners, who are more than likely the majority of the people who speak negatively about this veterinary hospital. Despite it all, the staff will still look out for the best interest of the animal. Always. I will forever be grateful and appreciative for everything the staff at Mount Carmel and specifically Dr. Stewart have done for my boys over the years and continue to do. I feel comfort in knowing they will always receive the best possible care when coming here.

THIS IS THE WORSTTTTTTTTT Vet Clinic. IF YOU HAVE A CAT DO NOT IM BEGGING YOU DO NOT BRING YOUR CAT/KITTEN TO THE VET HERE. It truthfully feels like the veterinarian here doesn’t like a single thing about her profession. The times that I have brought my KITTEN: she made comments about turning her away for surgery because she was “scared”, not wanting to service her due to my kitten (NOT EVEN 6 months old) Hissing at her. She was “afraid of how my cat would act” when performing her neutering. HOW ARE YOU A veterinarian and afraid of an animal you are trained to service? When we finally neutered my kitten, she treated her horribly prior to surgery. I wish i knew what went on after we dropped her off because post surgery my kitten had MANY complications not to mention COMPLETELY Traumatized after surgery. if i could give this woman 0 Stars I would. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. Please do your homework before picking this place. there are so many better places And i have since then found an AMAZING veterinary hospital.They love and appreciate my animal and that’s what this profession should be about. Not picking and choosing animals you like and dislike and treating them based off of YOUR OPINION. DO BETTER MOUNT CARMEL VETERINARY HOSPITAL.
