Love this place! Everyone is so helpful and kind. I've been bringing my Pugs here for many years and they have been there for us... from bringing home a new puppy all the way to the good byes. Will forever be grateful that they let us have our other pup see his companion after he passed. I truly believe it gave him a better understanding of what was happening. I have to add a note about the awesome Techs they have. Miklos is worse than your typical Pug at nail trim time, but these guys handle him and get the job done without a full blown meltdown! THANK YOU ALL!!

Dr. Ross and her team have taken the best care of our “special” pups. And by “special” I mean pups who like to eat foreign objects and have lots of mast cell tumor issues🫠.

I truly don’t have the words to fully express how incredible Groton Ledyard Veterinary Hospital is. From the very first phone call, they treated us with urgency, compassion, and genuine care during one of the most terrifying moments our family has faced. Our four-year-old yellow lab, Luke, had swallowed a sock and needed emergency surgery. We were completely overwhelmed and heartbroken, especially because we couldn’t afford the procedure. We had called countless hospitals across Connecticut and Rhode Island, desperately searching for someone—anyone—who could help us save our dog. Groton Ledyard Veterinary Hospital didn’t just answer the phone—they stepped in and went above and beyond in a way we will never forget. They immediately worked with us to get Luke seen and, more importantly, connected us with incredible resources, including support through the Connecticut Humane Society and Stand Up for Animals. Because of their quick action and willingness to advocate for us, we were able to get the funding needed for Luke’s life-saving surgery. Their compassion, dedication, and determination quite literally saved our dog’s life. In a moment where we felt completely helpless, they gave us hope and stood by us every step of the way. We will forever be grateful to their entire team. If you are looking for a veterinary hospital that truly cares—not just about animals, but about the people who love them—this is the place. Recently moved to the area with my 15 yr old dog. I won't lie, he's a bit of a handful at the vet even for his age. The staff was absolutely wonderful with him, even the one who got headbutted and scratched to bits. My apologies but also, thank you for everyone on staff who managed him and with no complaints about his behaviour! As a pet "owner" it's so hard to find a vet you can trust and I am certain I did here!

Hopkins was in a lot of pain this morning in his rear left leg. I was very worried about him, and extremely thankful that Groton Ledyard Vet was able to get him in same day for help. The doctor was kind, professional and smart. Its a great feeling knowing they are there and available to do their part.
