The doctors here are so compassionate and knowledgeable. Im always nervous to take my pets to a new place for care, but upon arrival, my dog and I were warmly greeted. The team was very thorough and made sure no steps were skipped when checking my dog out. What is usually a very stressful experience for me and my dog was made so much better by the people here. Definitely recommend this place to anybody debating switching their current pet care!

UPDATE I did bring my dog to another doctor and they were shocked that this Veterinary Hospital would not give antibiotics to a dog who is immuno compromised with an active infection. After doing the required testing, they revealed he had a severe urinary tract infection and if we would’ve not treated him with antibiotics right away he could’ve become septic. That is a life or death situation. The recommendations of this business could’ve cost me the life of my dog. The doctor was too arrogant to understand and hear feedback from a concerned, dog parent. T hey replied, saying that I should seek care elsewhere if they think that I would ever go there again they are crazy. Additionally, my dog’s auto immune condition was initially misdiagnosed as general arthritis. I brought my dog there with concerns about his declining health. They told me with arthritis and did not do anything else. I had to bring him back and insist upon lab work being done if I had not done that it would not have revealed that his blood platelets were in critical levels. This means that he could’ve died. So In two instances, they misdiagnosed and mistreated my dog, which could’ve resulted in death. I’m not over exaggerating. This is what has occurred. And they cannot handle the honest feedback and wanted to defend poor care. I am more than happy to bring my business elsewhere and I would highly recommend that if you do bring your dog there or are currently a patient there to seriously question diagnoses when you know your gut is telling you what is wrong with your dog Or other pet. Norwalk Animal Hospital Is only concerned with seeing the most amount of patients and making the most amount of money. That is why Dr. Wolff left that is why other providers do not want to work there and that is why ultimately we have chosen to go elsewhere. Original Post Completely unprofessional my dog had a UTI that did not resolve. They refused to give him additional antibiotics did not inform me that additional urinalysis was required in order to fully determine that it was resolved. Communication was very poor. The new Dr. Turner on the phone said “if you don’t like our services go elsewhere” he also said “we gave you a break on some test so you should pretty much accept what we’re saying. “ he also said “if you don’t like our services go to urgent care maybe they’ll give you what you need”. Throughout the conversation, the doctor also laughed multiple times dismissing my concerns and currently their course of action is to let my dog suffer with a UTI for five days Before, considering any more antibiotics. Shocked at the level of disrespect and unappreciation for basic customer service. I came to this practice for Dr Wolf and Dr McLaughlin since she left I have not been remotely impressed by the condensation and unprofessionalism of Turner and unfortunately McLaughlin only is there 4 days a week leaving care on Fridays and other instances to a very crude mannered provider. Will take my dog elsewhere so he isn’t untreated for a week. A uti for an immunocompromised dog for 5 days is dangerous and can lead to serious complications.

If I could put a zero I would. I am beyond disappointed by how little compassion was shown this morning. My dog was sick all night with diarrhea, and I brought him in as soon as I could, hoping someone would help. He is an existing patient at this practice, yet because my usual vet was out until Monday, I was told the other vet would not see him because she was “booked,” even though that vet was in the office and there were no other patients there at the time. Rather than helping a sick dog in need, they told me to go to the emergency hospital. That is unacceptable. In my opinion, a veterinary practice should put the health of the animal first, no matter which doctor the pet usually sees. I left feeling upset, disappointed, and honestly angry. I will never return. My dog is like my child. They obviously do not care. I will NEVER return.
