VCA Animal hospital is highly recommended. I have been taking my pets to them for 15 years. The office space is always clean. The staff are always friendly and professional. All of the providers are calm with the pets. They engage as a pet owner. Always recommend this animal care office. Plainfield CT

Brought my cat who was dying in. Front desk women are heartless and borderline nasty. Overpriced corporate greed runs this business. The ONLY redeeming thing was the actual Dr. She was kind and compassionate.

Absolutely the worst experience with Dr. Gilmore. Miscommunication between staff, but front desk staff clearly was able to warn me about Dr. Gilmore. Take your money elsewhere- all staff I spoke to take their pets to other places.

This is a clinic full of people that care deeply about animals. I found out about it through my sister and her boss, who both work as receptionists and stand-in techs. This clinic has taken care of two of my dogs. The first, an Australian Shepherd named Grace, they helped cross the rainbow bridge once a large tumor was found on her back leg. They’ve helped my second dog Piglet with emergencies and regular illness/physical check up visits. They correctly identified the disease Piglet had (hemorrhagic gastroenteritis) and sent her to Ocean State at the appropriate time. I’ve never felt pressured to do additional testing or add additional products to my end of visit bill. Dr. Taylor is Piglet’s primary vet, and she is WONDERFUL! My sister has Dr. Picano-Gilmore as a primary and feels that she is very thorough and attentive. Dr. Picano-Gilmore was the first to actually diagnose my dog with HGE. If she hadn’t been sent to Ocean State by those at VCA Plainfield, she could have passed. All vet care is expensive, so the prices do not bother me. The thing I care most about is Piglet’s health, and I know her health is guaranteed and protected at VCA Plainfield. The place is always clean, organized, and the staff is all friendly. I’d recommend this clinic to friends and family!
